Z’Tejas Review & Giveaway
A couple of Saturdays ago after a long-but-exhausting morning involving the Farmers Market and photo session with the girls, we went down to The Gateway in Salt Lake City. They have a Z’Tejas down there we were asked to review as a family.Do you have a Z’Tejas near you?
I was a tired mom and needed a relaxing lunch at a restaurant where there were no problems, we were always attended to and the food came out in a timely manner. I also wanted a place where you didn’t feel like you were sitting on top of your neighbor and the food was healthy and fresh.
Z’Tejas, thank you for giving two tired parents all we were hoping for in a fun lunch with the family!
Your staff was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and looked sharp (love the dress code–it’s perfect!).
Your cooks prepared everything with fresh–and yes, local–produce, the perfect temperature for each dish and we all enjoyed eating it.
Your restaurant had the perfect lighting, decor and seating placement.
Your menu had a great set of options for gluten-free, vegetarian AND vegan options.
…
We went away full and happy.

I’m not entering to win because I don’t live in Utah, but I just wanted to chime in and say that I truly appreciate restaurants that serve fresh, local produce and that put thought into their kids menus. It appears that Z’Tejas does both. I’ll have to keep the name in mind if I ever venture your way.
Love Z’Tejas and would love to have lunch down there. I never knew they used fresh, local produce and hadn’t thought about taking the kiddos. If I win, I might let them come along. lol

My husband told me that kids eat free on Mondays. I’m not sure if it’s true, but I’ve been meaning to check it out. I love this place, especially the cornbread. Mmmm.

I love quality mexican food. Not the yucky stuff with grisstly meat. And the enchilada sauce can make it or break it for me. Looks like you might have found a winner and I will try them out for sure.
