Worry Woos

I was quite mad at myself for having those Worry Woos spend so much time on that shelf in my closet. You know that shelf you have where you hide future friend gifts/Christmas gifts/birthday gifts for when your kids are older? Well, the Easter bunny went shopping on THAT shelf this year because she had a baby and almost forgot about Easter. I had bought the Worry Woos books almost a year ago at a boutique and if I had known how amazing they were, they would not have stayed on that shelf for so long!

The books are all about embracing your emotions by having a little creature really empathize with what your child might be dealing with in their life. There’s Nola, The Monster of Loneliness; Rue, The Monster of Insecurity; Fuddle, The Monster of Confusion; Squeek, The Monster of Innocence and 2 new Monsters coming out this year.

The characters are lovable, quirky and very identifiable to the kids (and even to me as the parent!). The illustrations are done in beautiful watercolor, the storyline is just the right length to hold the attention of children, and it is just spot on in terms of how to talk to children.
