Wednesday: Mid Week Ramblings—Something for Mommy

April 29th, 2009 in Wednesday: Mid Week Ramblings

I try to stick to the theme of my website (parenting/kids stuff) but sometimes I just feel like posting about something Mommy likes. Hopefully my readers don’t mind if I do that once in a while! 🙂

It has been kind of a stressful week at the I Never Grew Up home–stressful in both good and bad ways. Lots of days full of tests for Baby Girl to find out what is wrong. Lots of days full of doctor appointments for myself, the result of running and those lovely female problems. (Aren’t those the best?) Moving at the last minute to a wonderful home that will be all our own. Gaining more clients for work and my blog’s readership growing quickly.

Lots of wonderful and not-so-wonderful things all making me feel a little on edge lately, which is why receiving this package from Basa Body this week was heaven sent. It gave me the recharge I so desperately needed. I thought of the beautiful women who created the wonderful products. I thought of the amazing women who are raising money to help them and the love I have seen from the blogging world. It reaffirmed the goal my husband and I have to help over in Kenya and that somewhere there are two little boys meant to join our family. Every time I see a picture like the one pictured right, it reminds me of those little boys even though I don’t know who or where they are.

Basa Body is a company that helps women in Kenya produce and sell their coconut oil. All their natural body products are made using organic virgin coconut oil from wild coconuts harvested along the beautiful coast of Kenya. Mom it Forward is having a special fund raiser for the women in Kenya. Enter the code Mom It Forward when purchasing a Mother’s Day Kiss Me gift pack and you’ll be entered to win a $250 Disney gift card.  Their Basa “Kiss Me” Gift Pack is the perfect Mother’s Day gift. The gift pack includes Basa Body Coconut Oil lotion, Basa Body Stick push tube, Mint Chocolate Truffle Soap and Cherry Chocolate Truffle Soap. Doesn’t it sound like the perfect Mothers Day Gift?

Simply taking the time to enjoy a beautiful product and pamper myself helped me remember to just be. It allowed me to let go of the worries and stress for a little while and run to the park with my girls…because that’s how you roll when you’ve Never Grown Up. And in my opinion, that’s the best way to be!
