Things I Loved This Thanksgiving

November 27th, 2011 in About Me, Nature, Beauty in Everyday

My centerpiece decor turning out really well; got the idea from here. Going to save this for every year!

That our holiday feast is also the chickens’ holiday feast…roasted garlic, fennel and stale bread…oh my!

The appetizers: Cheese, Flatbread, Antipasto, Baked Honey & Almond Brie, Artichoke Dip…oh, the appetizers.

Cute little girlies feeling special drinking out of fancy cups.

The Menu: Prime Rib, Sausage/Fennel/Sage Stuffing, Bacon/Cheddar/Roasted Garlic potatoes, Herb/Gruyère Potatoes, Creamed Corn, Creamed Spinach, Homemade Rolls, Homemade Cranberry Sauce, Egg Nog & Punch (the special recipe you are served after having a baby at St. Marks hospital!)

Name tags of the people we love.

Tart Cranberries.

A late night party for Mr. Mason who turned 1, and watching him attack the cake.

Trying to work on “superheroes of stopping bullets” (aka: foam building blocks) with my brothers.

Sending the men up the mountain to get us our Christmas trees — after realizing we, in fact, do NOT have 4 wheel drive, and after a long time trying to pull the truck out of the snow.

Spending time with JB before he goes off to his mission!

Fun aunts.

I loved this picture of my dad escaping into the mountains to find the perfect tree! I was sad we didn’t get to go up like last year, but we ran over to Blickenstaffs and had fun buying Christmas presents.

What a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Hope yours was great as well.
