When you lose your way,
things can go dark.
You forget who you are
and why you bother doing what you do.
Smiles are few and far between,
strained when present.
Everyone around you feels it,
and it starts to cause damage.
Then something happens
to remind you of what you have been missing.
What you used to have
and how good it felt.
And then the light is back,
and you remember why you try so hard and why you love it.
Most importantly how much it is worth.
Thank you for bringing it back to me Grandma,
and I won’t let it go.
