Summer Learning Giveaway—Autographed Copies of The Forever Dress by Harriet Ziefert
Jyl and Connie won this giveaway, it is now CLOSED
I posted about this wonderful book last week and my girls have become even more attached to it. It accompanies them on car drives, in bed, while at the table, at appointments, to Grandma’s…everywhere! I actually need to pick up another copy so we stop having melt downs when they have to share!
My Forever Dress by Harriet Ziefert and illustrated by Liz Murphy is ADORABLE and I think we love it so much because Abby has a skirt her grandma made her that reminds me so much of the girl’s dress in this book. The illustrations are bright and colorful–just reading the book gives you a pick-me-up for your day. The story is about sewing, economizing, recycling and sharing…and we just love it!
Blue Apple Books is an independent publisher dedicated to producing top-notch, age-appropriate books for young children. They do a wonderful job of combining art and text to make the most readable, entertaining and educational books for children (and babies too!). Each book they publish focuses on important life lessons in young children’s lives including: developing empathy, separation, loss, unity and the bond between parents and their children. They also make sure to cover concept such as colors, counting, shapes and letter sounds. Be sure to check out their website for their line of books and to learn more about them. It is quite a clever website; you need to head on over and see!
They are giving you the chance to win an autographed copy of The Forever Dress (and I get to pick a couple of you to win!). This is what you need to do!

It looks like an amazing book. I\’m sure my daughter would love it as well.
How special! Our grandma makes special clothes, too!
My mom sewed almost all the dresses I wore growing up. My daughter loves wearing dresses and has even worn a few of my old ones. (Yes, my mom saves everything.) I’m sure the book would be a hit here.
