SkippyjonJones Books by Judy Schachner

July 18th, 2011 in Books/Reading, Children's Books

There is still time to sign up for your local library’s summer reading program! For this whole week I’ll be sharing some of our recent, pretty awesome book finds.

Right before we left for our trip, I had to go get tires put on my car and get my brakes fixed. You know that sitting in a car shop with three little kids ALWAYS works out fantastically, right? Ha. So when I was told it was going to take 3 hours I put Shae in my sling, grabbed my girls’ hands and said, “That’s it. We are out of here. Let’s find something to do!” I looked up and down the street and there was nothing in sight…but I was going to find something. I had to. So 45 minutes later we came upon a library, and covered in sweat, we sat down in the cool library with a book.

We found a book about a boy kitty cat who had a bunch of sisters. He would take his awesome imagination and go into his room to play. This boy kitty cat thought he was a chihuahua that could fly to Mars. He would take his mom’s chili powder and put it all over himself, pounce around in it and pretend it was the “red dust from Mars.”

This author has an imagination just like her little kitty cat and the books are hilarious and quite clever. Be sure to pick up the SkippyjonJones Books by Judy Schachner.

Also, guess what? The books are all at Costco right now and they come with a recorded CD of the book. Each one is 10.99! Great deal. We love these SkippyjonJones Books by Judy Schachner, love love!
