Saran Wrap Art Project

April 23rd, 2012 in Crafts

This is such a simple idea that has been on my to do list for awhile. I love art projects where you don’t have to buy anything special, everyone has saran wrap!

Supplies:

Brushes

Saran Wrap

Tempura Paint OR Watercolor Paint (in this post I use tempura paint)

Instructions:

1. Have the kids paint their picture but tell them to paint “heavily” and also paint fast because you have to put the saran wrap on before it dries and it has to be pretty wet.

2. Let the kids put the saran wrap directly on top of their painting, smush down a bit, and then make little tiny creases or pinches with their fingers.

3. When it dries the picture has “texture to it” yes you peel off the saran wrap after it dries, just after an hour or so.
