Re-creating their Favorite Book

I was looking for a quick project for the girls to do on a boring morning. I told them to go pick their favorite book and they could re-write/re-illustrate it in their own way. Abby picked one of those Pigeon Books by Mo Willems.

Funny thing is Abby’s frustration came out through her book. She was really peeved off that morning that she had been asking for a stapler for days to “get some work done” but I couldn’t find one. So her story took a turn for the worse—the pigeon fighting with/diving over/etc. a STAPLER!

It was fun to see what their new versions of their favorite books were.
