Raw Food/Real World: 100 Recipes to Get the Glow by Matthew Kenney and Sarma Melngailis

This is the best cookbook to enter my home in a long time and I buy a lot of cookbooks. I have been trying hard to make sure the whole family’s diet is more than half plant based. We aren’t vegan, we aren’t even vegetarian, but the majority of the time we eat that way and cook from those cookbooks.

It has been such fun trying the recipes from this cookbook and every single one has been a hit.

In this video we show you how to make Vegan Candied Sunflower Seeds that we put on Vegan Chocolate Pudding (yes, VEGAN chocolate pudding—it can be done!)

What cookbooks have you recently found and love?

Wow. I’m so impressed. I’ve been wanting to do more with raw food. I’ll have to check out that cookbook.

    (I love your blog.)

YOU are an inspiration, Vanessa! Thanks for the simple guideline of half of what we eat from plants. Now why didn’t I think of that??!! I’m getting this cookbook, too! Plus, these look like things my elementary school girls could get their hands and blenders into! :)

I just bought Fine Cooking’s Fresh magazine. It is loaded with recipes like this, and I can’t wait to make them. We also bought “Clean Eating” – food tastes so much better this way.

Raw cashew cheese is great on raw tacos.

I’ve been loving “Fix, Freeze, Feast.” It’s one of those prep ahead and freeze cookbooks, and I love it! It’s a great system for our family in this “season” of our lives. :)

Those spicy Thai wraps look good. And I’ve got to get a juicer!
