Quick Peach Tart

September 15th, 2011 in recipes

I love farmers markets at the end of the summer because of all the fruit! Berries & peaches are at the top of my list. But I’m not a baker and when I come home with all my treasures I wish I was.

But this Quick Peach Tart is something anyone can do!

Quick Peach Tart

Ingredients:

5-6 Peaches (this time I mixed two types of peaches)

1 cube of butter

1/2 cup of organic sugar or a coarser white sugar

1 pie crust

Water

Directions:

1. Slice peaches to thin slices.

2. Roll out pie crust onto parchment paper on a cookie tray.

3. Place peaches in the middle of the pie crust, leaving a good sized edge. Sprinkle the peaches with almost all of the 1/2 cup of sugar.

4. Cut your butter into small squares and put on top of peaches.

5. Fold the pie crust up, leaving the middle exposed. Brush with water and sprinkle on the remaining sugar.

6. Cook until golden in the oven at 400 degrees. Mine took about 9-12 minutes. Cook yours according to the pie crust instructions.
