Puffy Paint Art Project

June 1st, 2012 in Crafts

Now this project has even cooler results if you buy little craft squeeze bottles or even empty ketchup/mustard type bottles so you can squeeze the puffy paint out of them. I am just trying to use up everything in my house and not buy anything new–so we did it with different types of paintbrushes. Still fun!

Puffy Paint Art Project

Supplies:

  • Equals parts (it just depends on how much you want to make, if you are making more than one type of paint, just do 1/3 cup measurements) of flour, salt, and water
  • Powdered Tempura Paint
  • Either those paint bottles or just different types of paintbrushes
  • Paper to paint on (I label the papers with the kids names before we begin, it helps tons)

Directions:

1. Mix equal parts of the flour, salt, and water. Then add in a bit of powdered tempura paint and mix away.

2. When the paint dried it is of course—puffy!
