Monday’s Maven
Monday’s Maven
Full Name: Stephanie
blog:
Kids: Two beautiful, brilliant, tender-hearted girls : a 3-year-old and a 6-month-old
Location: Arizona
One Word that Describes You:Brainstomer
What makes you smile? Long talks with my husband. Baking with my 3-year-old. My 6-month-old’s gummy smile and bubbly laugh. Rainstorms. Dark chocolate. Reading a really good book. Trying new things.
What is one of your dreams you hope to accomplish soon? Move to a pedestrian-friendly community. I want to be able to walk to the grocery store, the park, the post office, and a little cafe.
What gives you anxiety as a mother? I mostly just wish I could do more, BE more. Sometimes I get overwhelmed and I say, “I can’t work-at-home and have a flawless house and cook gourmet meals and be a good friend and be 100% engaged with my girls.”
How do you deal with it? I let go. Of the flawless house. The gourmet meals. Instead, I “play, play, play the day away” (as my 3-year-old would say) with my girls. And still manage to work-at-home, blog, and get healthy (yet simple) meals on the table. That will have to suffice.
What is your guilty pleasure? Loungewear. I like to wear it around the house all of the time these days – yoga pants, hoodies, nursing nightgowns, athletic shorts, tees, etc.
What do you love most about you? I get along well with people…almost anyone really. I can find common ground.
Favorite Product? My MacBook
Favorite Food? Homemade bread right out of the oven and fresh raspberries.
Who is your hero? My husband. He is heroic, handsome, and oh-so-hard-working. He works all day and then comes home and works some more. I am inspired by his gentle spirit, his intellect, and his motivation.
Your advice to other moms: Cherish every moment with your kids. Be slow to anger. Err on the side of love. Work on your own character most of all (those little eyes are watching you).
Thank You Stephanie! I adore Stephanie and her blog. She has been one of my most favorite women I have connected with through blogging. Such a beautiful woman inside and out.

I was first introduced to Stephanie’s blog with her post about “reasons not to spank” (which I highly support). I’ve been really impressed with her blog and reasoning as a mother. I think she’s fabulous!
Thank you, Vanessa. I am truly honored to be your “maven” of the week.
One thing I’d really like to reply to is that weight loss program fast may be accomplished by the right diet and exercise. Someone’s size not merely affects the look, but also the actual quality of life. Self-esteem, major depression, health risks, in addition to physical ability are disturbed in weight gain. It is possible to just make everything right but still gain. In such a circumstance, a medical problem may be the root cause. While a lot food rather than enough exercise are usually the culprit, common medical ailments and trusted prescriptions could greatly increase size. I am grateful for your post here gywl512.
