One Word that Describes You: Tender-hearted.

What makes you smile? Netflix envelopes in the mail – it must be winter!

What is one of your dreams you hope to accomplish soon? Our family goal this year is to buy land to eventually build a dream house on.

One of Your favorite motherhood moments? I am so fascinated by my son’s hands. Just a few months ago they were tight-fisted little baby lumps and now watching his tiny index finger and his tiny thumb come together to pick up a tiny bit of food… I am in awe by everything he’s learned! It’s the little things with motherhood, isn’t it?

What is your guilty pleasure? Taking a couple hours to go shopping all by myself. No friends, husbands, or babies. I love it.

What do you love most about you? That’s a tough question! I can appreciate my willingness to do hard things. I don’t use “impossible” or “not gonna happen” type words often.

Favorite Place? I live for the beach. Warm sand, refreshing water.

Who is your hero? This is an ever-changing answer, but I have been reading about Edith Piaf recently, and her passion and devotion to those passions despite a seemingly insurmountable pile of hardships is really inspiring!

You love fashion and creativity, What are your outlets for this and how do you make it fit in with being a busy mother?

I’ve always loved and been in awe of fashion. I started styling photoshoots and fashion spreads 5 years ago, and did merchandising before that, but lately it’s been hard to find the drive to! I’d rather read cardboard books and push cars around the kitchen floor, but I’m sure that will pass :). I turned my hobby of crafting into a job and run Bijou Market (a handmade event) twice a year. That’s not so much my creative outlet as it is a test of my organization and planning skills, but it brings me a lot of joy and pride to see the amazing talent and creativity the market brings under one roof. Life seems to fly by, so I just try to put thought and care into my little realm everyday; what I wear, what my home looks like, sometimes I strike creative gold, and sometimes is just another day.
