One Word that Describes You: lifey

What makes you smile? unexpected small things, like the curl in my daughter’s pigtail, a ray of light sneaking in thru the curtain, time with my family, people being humble

What is one of your dreams you hope to accomplish soon? Soon? Hmmm… I’d like to have my home finally in order and painted/decorated just like I’ve wanted (for the past 10 years!)

One of Your favorite motherhood moments? the first few times I breastfed each of my babies, the times they actually sit still long enough to lean against me and I can sniff their head, watching my children interact lovingly with each other, working hard to cure my son from epilepsy.

What is your guilty pleasure? Lying in bed checking blogs and emails on my phone after everyone is asleep, writing in the early mornings when everyone is …still asleep. 🙂 Watching a movie by myself while knitting, during the day. Sneaking out for margaritas with my best friends after a long day.I guess “alone time” is the key here!

What do you love most about you? This is a hard one. I love my heart, I guess. And my good intentions. Physically, I like my eyes and that I’ve been able to grow out my hair long again.

Favorite Place? #1 Paris, France -I’ve been twice and want to go again very soon, with or without the family! 🙂 and #2 Colorado. We visited a few years ago and my soul ached when we left. I feel like I belong there.

Who is your hero? This is a hard one, too. Everyday people I meet are my heroes. People go through extraordinary struggles and they make it through, they go on.

Your advice to other moms on how to strengthen their bonds with their children in small everyday ways? Your child is a person, with feelings and a developing self-image and heart. Everything we do or say to them shapes them, and could have an impact on who they will someday be. I think one of the easiest ways to bond is to respect them, and treat them gently.

Stephanie’s blog is one of the first blogs I really connected with when I first got into blogging. I love her blog, tweets and beautiful writing. I feel so special to have her on my site! Thanks Stephanie.
