Monday’s Maven

Full Name: Alexa Mae

blog:

Location: The Valley Of The Sun {Arizona}

kids: Bronson- blue-eyed, blonde haired, freckled face 4 1/2 year old boy. Maddix- brown haired, olive skinned, dimpled 3 year old brown-eyed girl.

One Word that Describes You: Dreamer. When I was a little girl, I lived in a world of imagination. Now that I’m older, my world has become a world of dreaming, envisioning then delivering the dream. I guess I never really have grown up, I hope I never do.

What makes you smile? My husband. My children. Sunday dinners with my whole family. Days spent with friends.

What is one of your dreams you hope to accomplish soon? Having another baby! I don’t know what it is but I can’t get over my “baby hunger”. Of course, I could accomplish this soon but it’s also up to the Big Man upstairs.

One of Your favorite motherhood moments? The moments where my heart wants to burst because I am so proud of my children. Like when my son asks, “Is that choosing the right?”, because he wants to so badly.  Or like when my daughter sincerely helps someone in need and you can see the love she has for them in her eyes. So my favorite moments are the moments I realize my children are the most amazing and sincere human beings I know.

What is your guilty pleasure? Making & Eating Cookies. Frolicking through Target. Watching Reality TV. Playing “Things” with the family. Blogging to my hearts content.

What do you love most about you? It would have to be the ability to find something good in everything and everyone. Give me something negative and I will find something positive, and I think that makes my days full of happiness and love.

Favorite place? My favorite place to travel would have to be up to Utah to visit my family and then over to Bear Lake to campout with all of them. Whenever I am with my family, 5 minutes don’t go by without laughter, and I love that.

Who is your hero? My Mother. A woman who has worked all her life to make me who I am. She is strong, faithful, and brave. She knows exactly what to say and when to say it. She made me from scratch, you know!

Your advice to other mothers: Live in the moment. I don’t want to be a Mother that says “They grew up too quick”, I want to live it with them. I know it is really hard, I really have to work at it but the days I do it well are the days I am most satisfied with. It is hard sometimes because we are constantly bent over a pile of toys, sorting laundry or making a meal that we often forget these little creatures we have created are among us and are not going to stop growing. Sometimes you have to dance around the pile of toys, jump in the loads of clean laundry and have food fights with those children you are trying so hard to raise. The dishes can wait.

Don’t you just love her after reading this? I think we have the same guilty pleasures and I love that she has “never grown up” love it! You are such a good wife and mommy , I really look up to you, Aleza. You can read more about her story here (which is not her blog a spotlight on her story), you are amazing Miss.
