One Word that Describes You: In-love

What makes you smile? The little 4 year olds I teach running around dance class in tutus, DC’s cherry blossoms, a sparkling clean kitchen, Kingsley’s snore, spending time with my husband, coke in a bottle, Toblerone & SanPelligrino for dinner!

What is one of your dreams you hope to accomplish soon? To speak Italian fluently. I dream and dream about that day….

One of Your favorite moments with your mother?

When we flew to Houston TX together when I was 17 for my Juilliard audition (they have regional auditions for the NYC based school). We swam in the hotel pool the night prior and then we watched Dr Phil in the hotel room until we fell asleep. I just remember her calm voice telling me to just give it my all and she’d be proud of me either way….and then we’d go out and celebrate the good or bad news together! Fortunately, I got in…. I wouldn’t have even auditioned if it weren’t for her love and support throughout the years. She is an outstanding woman and mother. I really do owe my degree from Juilliard to her.

What is your guilty pleasure? Currently, cheesecake.

What do you love most about you? Hmmm. I know there are a lot of things I don’t love about me….but maybe one thing I do love is my optimism. Seeing the good in things, in life, in people… it sure makes life a happier place to be.

Favorite place? I love traveling home to Utah. My family lives up in the mountains and I love smelling the fresh air and seeing the stars in the sky at night.

Who is your hero? My mother. She is one of the wisest, most loving and compassionate women on this planet. I love and look up to her everyday.

Your advice to other rockstars: Live and love life.
