Invisible Painting Activity

June 2nd, 2011 in Friday: Play!, Crafts

My girls love anything to do with “detective work,” as you know. So when I remembered this activity from my grade school days they were very excited.

Invisible Painting Activity

Supplies:

White Crayon

White Paper

Tempura Powder Paint mixed with water OR watercolor paints

Paintbrush

Directions:

1. Write your “secret message” on the white paper with the white crayon.

2. Give the message to the person it was intended for and tell him/her to paint the whole picture to find the message.

3. Then if you are like us, bug all your neighbors in the middle of the day by having your girls bring a bottle of bright green paint along with an invisible message for their kids to figure out. OR you can run around the house having sister give sister invisible message after invisible message that all say…”AND YOU GET A FREE OTTER POP!” Then at the end of the day your kids will have ingested a disgusting amount of otter pops.
