Hippo Cupcakes

There is this Italian market we love downtown. I drove there twice during my 9th month of pregnancy to get a huge meatball sub, Mmmm. Now the girls love going there because they have the “Hungry Hippo” treats that they beg for every time we walk into that place.

I knew I had to make some Hippo Cupcakes with these but didn’t have any birthdays or parties coming up so we just made them for the girls’ teachers at church. I added Nutella and icing to the cupcake batter to make the flavors match the flavors of the Hippos.
