Giveaway #9 Start Yoga With Your Kids!

September 20th, 2008 in Giveaways

This giveaway is now CLOSED!

Kid’s Yoga Set Giveaway

Mandy from Etsy Shop Yoga Seedlings/The Final Fifteen is awarding the winner of this giveaway a yoga mat and yoga carrying bag. You also have to check out her blog, it is one of my favs.

thefinalfifteen

Never thought of starting Yoga with your children? I had not until my two year old saw it somewhere and does the two poses she knows over and over each day, maybe she is trying to tell me something! So for my daughter’s Christmas presents I have already bought them some DVDs, yoga mats and carrying cases.

Check out this short list of benefits:

*Yoga for kids is an excellent way for a child to exercise

*Kids learn new techniques and ways to deal with stress

*Yoga helps kids become more in touch with their self.

* Yoga enhances the stamina, ability and mental balance.
* The songs and the chants that they practice in yoga classes improve their speaking skills.
* Yoga strengthens the digestive system and helps get rid of various internal complexities like, gas and constipation.

Note: Not every type of yoga can be used as yoga for children though. It must be taken into consideration that children’s’ bodies are still growing and cannot cope with the strenuous exercises of intense yoga sessions

I’d love to win this so I can get back into yoga and also to teach my son some of the poses. He’s very hyper so hopefully yoga will calm him down a bit.
