Have you heard of Oompa Toys? A friend recommended them to me on Twitter when I was whining about not finding anything for my daughter’s birthday that excited me. Oompa solved that problem. Their online store is full of such gems. From now on, this will be a company I use throughout the year for birthdays and holidays.
Oompa Toys offers a constantly expanding collection of European wooden toys, baby toys, educational toys, lunch bags and modern children’s furniture to “urbane and discerning adults who want to expose the young children in their lives to non-character branded, quality toys that are designed to withstand generations of use.” They believe baby toys should be natural, safe, eco-friendly, non-violent and from manufacturers who provide safe and nurturing environments for their employees.
Did you notice the fun play kitchen that my daughter received for her “Something to Play With” birthday present two posts down? It’s from Oompa Toys and I could not have been more thrilled with the customer service, how quickly the item came, the quality, and how the girls just cannot get enough of it. For Christmas I plan on ordering:
Unique, Unique, Unique. Where else are you going to see an idea and game like this? What kid would not want to spend all morning gathering treasure? Perfection.
This simple house and adorable collection of animals caught my eye because it looks JUST LIKE something my grandpa did and would have made for me!
I almost got this drum set for my daughter’s birthday instead of the kitchen set, and it is still tempting me!
Don’t all these toys just excite you instead of making you think what you normally do: “Oh great another noisy, junky toy that will cost three times as much to keep going with the batteries?” I know I have you as excited as I am

I think I would spend the money on the wooden stacking toys!
I’m familiar with Oompa toys and have long been eyeballing the Haba Doll Pram in natural.
My kids would love it! (And fight over it.)
I would either put it towards the Haba pushing car or Kettler Jumbo kettrike
I love Oompa toys and actually bought that same kitchen for my daughters second Christmas last year. It was and still is a big hit! I would probably put the money towards a dollhouse for this Christmas as that is what she has been asking for.

There are a lot of new babies entering the world in my circle of friends! So! I would use the gift certificate to get them some gifts! LOVE the Cow Ball–adorable, and I wish it had been around when my own were babies. For my own kids, I would like to get them one of those “fancy” water bottles. The one with the horses on it is PERFECT for my eldest. And yes, I also like the little pet house–my youngest, the puppy/kitty FREAK–would LOVE it!

Ohmygosh, those drums look awesome. My 3 yr old got a cheap plastic set for Xmas last year and the plastic covering on each drum is already broken and we need to just throw it all away. These drunks look like the perfect replacement!!

We have very similar tastes, because I’d choose the things you chose above!! Our 3 y/o would LOVE that drum set, but it *might* drive me insane….. (hee) We have the Plan dollhouse and family, so it would be fun to add to that with the animal set you show above, or the garden or playground set.
