Fashion Show

December 9th, 2009 in Life, family, party time

Last week I had two days of Horrible Terrible No Good Very Bad Grumpy Mom Days.

Boy, was I a “grumpface,” as we call it in my house. I was tired.  I was looking forward to bedtime and trying to figure out something to do the hour before bedtime that didn’t involve me snapping or my girls crying.

I found these star lights from Ikea, remembered that edited JayZ album I just found in my car and got some of our “party fabric” from a Christmas box upstairs.

What does all this equal?

A fashion show.

That cured my grumpiness fast. Mainly because there was no screaming or snapping.  Plus, the hour before bedtime came –really fast— and I got over myself.

You’re such a fun mom. Even when you’re tired and trying to avoid tears.

Look at you! Such a fun mom!

And, of course, there’s absolutely no way to have a horrible terrible no good very bad night when you’re watching a fashion show like that!

This fashion show concept is too fun! I’m sure your daughters loved every moment of it.
