Donate Tents & Tarps in Utah

July 7th, 2010 in Life

Jenny’s beautiful daughter is working on gathering Tents & Tarps in Utah.  Here is what she has to say about her project:

I am 11 years old. I read a TIME Magazine article called Haiti’s Tent Cities and felt like I needed to help out. My goal is to find as many people willing to donate tents and tarps that will help provide shelter (dwellings) for people throughout the world who have been displaced from their homes. With the help of my parents I have created a Facebook page, a Twitter account (@TentsandTarps) and this blog to get the word out. Please donate a new or used tent (that still works) and tarps. Please forward this message to all of your friends, family and anyone else you can think of. Together we can make a difference in the world. More information will come about where you can drop off or mail your tents and tarps. Thank you!”

They have the absolute best drop off places all around Utah…two of them are at the SWEET TOOTH FAIRY shops in Draper and Utah County. What could be better than dropping off a tent or tarp (or both) for this sweet girl’s project and picking up a cupcake for yourself?

Perfection, I think. You can bet I will be there with tent in hand and leaving with a Root Beer Cupcake.
