Cousins

I didn’t grow up in a family with cousins close to my age. Now I have a couple of cousins that feel more my age because they are in college. And that is fun. But still for most of my cousins they either have no idea who I am or it is pulling teeth to get them to talk to me. Just because they are all in the teenage years. I married into a family full of cousins. It has been fun to get to know them a bit here and there through FB and blogs. I am highly jealous of everyone out there that has cousins their age and that they have great frienships with them.

Well I should say I *was* jealous because now my girls have what I always wanted. And I don’t feel jealous one little bit. It has turned out to be one of my favorite things to watch as a mother. Summers turn into catching up with cousins. And they are all still young so they all still love each other. I just wish we could see everyone a million times more often. I don’t like seeing my nieces and nephews only once a year. The ones on the other side of the country I think I have only met twice. But we’ll take what we can get!

Our summer was full of time with cousins which in my book makes it a completely successful summer.
