Cherish Bound & Timpanogos Storytelling Festival

August 11th, 2009 in Books/Reading, Children's Books

A couple of months ago I was invited to a blogger event put on by Cherish Bound and the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival. I had no idea what to expect, ended up having a ball and more importantly learned about two new companies.

I was very interested in learning about the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival. I knew it would be something I would enjoy but at the same time couldn’t really say why I had never attended. They had two storytellers at the event who, well, told us stories and I was sold on the spot! Why have I not been to the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival? How silly of me! This is right up my alley. The storytellers were amazing; I was completely captivated and taken in by their stories. To be honest I am a little disappointed I have missed so many years in a row and am thrilled to be able to go this year.

I could have listened to this woman all day long. She was an amazing, beautiful, stunning storyteller!

I also had a fantastic time learning about Cherish Bound. On the surface this company looked a lot like the online photo book publishers I have used in the past, but this wonderful company has a whole other layer to it! They really promote AND HELP YOU tell your story, which is truly the most important part. Pictures are beautiful and make wonderful keepsakes but when you don’t have a story behind the picture it’s not as meaningful. Cherish Bound has these wonderful Story Starters that gets you thinking and helps your memories start to flow. Sitting down to create family albums is quite a daunting task for me but this Story Starter book helped minimize the workload, made it a lot more fun and helped me remember some great memories!

In a few weeks I will have my first Cherish Bound book done and sent to my home and I can’t wait to give you a more detailed review and a fun giveaway to go along with it!

Also, I hope to see you at the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival. I am their newest fan and supporter!
