Chalk by Bill Thomson

Chalk by Bill Thomson is an awesome picture book. Three kids are walking in the rain together and come across a toy dinosaur in the park with a bag in its mouth.  The bag contains chalk. The first child draws a sun and all of the sudden it pops out from the ground and goes into the sky! Then the little girl draws some butterflies and they come to life:

Then the little boy draws a dinosaur with his chalk and IT comes to life. They all run into the playground to hide and he hurries and draws a rain cloud with raindrops so the dinosaur melts away.

The kids leave the bag of chalk where they found it for someone else to play with. Chalk by Bill Thomson is a keeper. Loved this book!
