Oh, but not in the way you remember her!
She is young, she is colorful, she is adorable and we love her even more. Usually when people “re-do” classics, I am not a fan. But not in this case. The original author of the Amelia Bedelia books was Peggy Parish and her NEPHEW, Herman Parish, is doing these books.
Amelia Bedelia’s First Apple Pie, by Herman Parish uses similar play on words and jokes that make the adults laugh like in the original books. Ok, let’s be honest. When my mother was reading it to the girls, she was CRACKING up the whole way through. And I was just laughing at her.
We haven’t read the two others yet. There is one about the first day of school and also a Valentine’s Day one.
