2nd Half of Summer 2013

August 14th, 2013 in About Me

After returning from California we jumped back into having fun with my side of the family and my sister’s family who was visiting from California. Lots of splash pads, Scheels, birthday dinners, ziplining, outdoor concerts, giant slip and slides, playing with my nephews, donut in the park playdates, and playdates with sweet friends. Spending a day in Provo with my two sisters and visiting my cousin. We explored the beautiful canyons, shopped at Harmony, ate at SLAB, toured the BYU Art Museum. We also got all the girls back up to date on their shots, and had some stressful doctor appointments with Reagan. I went to a lunch at the governor’s mansion with the 1st lady of Utah. We built a fairy house, did our annual back to school fashion show, and everyone got sick. We missed out on boating. We went to farmer markets, walked around temple square, and other things in between.

Then Tyler’s parents came for a short visit before they headed out on their mission to Detroit. We had a beautiful Pioneer Day with a hike up Big Cottonwood Canyon, a BBQ, and playing the night away at Daybreak Lake. I fed a lot of people, Tyler spent a lot of time talking with his parents, and the cousins played the day away together. We visited a fairy forest, went to a Lower Light concert, did some eating out.

The girls finished up their two weeks of science camps a Natural History Museum, which is a tradition with us. My siblings and I went out for a special dinner and I finished a family history project I have been working on for over a year. Talented Kim took the girl’s annual pictures. I took my sister’s family pictures and baby pictures of my new nephew. I threw a bridal shower for my two cousins (sisters, 5 years apart, getting married 2 weeks from each other). We also had our annual End of Harvest Willden Family dinner with a fun cooking competition. Mindy Gledhill sang my sweet girls to sleep one night! We went to Highland Fling Days because Cameron was on the cover of their magazine, and it was a huge busy, because of MELT DOWNS!

Surprisingly I said no to quite a few things and cancelled some things last minute this summer. You probably couldn’t tell could you?

AND THEN I FELL OVER DEAD.

Holy moly that was a lot of stuff! I hope to come back again and blog the things I have bolded. But boy oh boy, have I said I am glad school has started?

Such a beautiful but busy Summer 2013.
